Sustainability is no longer an option. The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a roadmap for both organisations and individuals, meaning that any sustainability initiative must be in line with these goals. To this end, the Spanish wine sector holds the Sustainable Wineries for Climate Protection<\/em> (SWfCP) certification, which rigorously assesses the commitment of Spanish wineries to sustainability. <\/p>\n

Sustainable Wineries for Climate Protection<\/h2>\n

The value chain of the Spanish wine sector is deeply committed to sustainability, positioning itself as a leader in triple sustainability \u2013economic, social and environmental. Both national and international consumers increasingly expect this commitment to be genuine and tangible, so certification is encouraged as a means of gaining international recognition. <\/p>\n

To meet these expectations, the Spanish wine sector has obtained the Sustainable Wineries for Climate Protection (SWfCP) certification, created in 2015 by the Spanish Wine Federation (FEV) and endorsed by the Interprofessional Wine Organisation of Spain (OIVE) for its rigour and independence. This certification evaluates wineries based on their performance in environmental, social, economic and governance sustainability, adhering to the highest standards and in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). <\/p>\n
